To help increase our focus on providing more resources that educate, train, and help laboratories take the next step from analog to digital, we have made the decision to redeploy resources to better respond to the accelerating pace of change and the evolving nature of the markets in which we operate. Effective immediately, Zahn Dental – the U.S. dental laboratory business of Henry Schein, Inc. – will exit the laboratory milling category and its ownership of Custom Milling Center (CMC).

We are pleased to announce that Aurora Digital Technology Center – a New York-based dental laboratory outsourcing and technology center – will drive this business forward.

To help ensure your customer needs continue to be met, Aurora Digital Technology Center’s leadership will be in touch within two weeks to discuss this new relationship. The Aurora and CMC teams will work closely to ensure all current cases in production will be completed as expected while new orders can continue to be processed through CMC as usual.

Exiting the business will enable us to increase our investment in emerging technologies, such as digital dentures, and serve as a key resource for our customers looking to explore digital solutions.

While we are exiting the milling business, Zahn Dental looks forward to continuing to support our dental laboratory customers’ needs.
